Sal's Birdland opened in Rochester in 1974. The wings and wedges built the reputation — but it was the sauce and the seasoning that people kept asking about.
Sassy Sauce and Special Seasoning #7 became restaurant staples across Upstate New York. Customers wanted them at home, so we bottled them.
Today Sal's still cooks to order for its local restaurant guests — and ships the same flavor nationwide.
